Digital Storytelling and Visitor Analytics for City and Cultural Institutions
Rage rooms started to become popular the past few years, and are continuously popping up all over the world. Many people who have used the rooms say its cathartic and an easy way to relieve stress and anxiety. One of the first questions people have is, how safe is it? Before you enter rage rooms, you must be of age, sign your waivers, and complete the safety orientation. From there, you must put on all safety gear supplied to you so that you do not injure any part of your body while smashing items to smithereens.
Chicago Rage room opened in 2017 and has been incredibly popular since. One of their popular slogans is “We buy it, you break it.” So, here’s how it works. You take your choice of rooms and pick what you want to smash. Rage Rooms has all sorts of things to destroy, like crockery, computers, televisions, furniture, and more. Each room has safety gear that you cover yourself with, and then you pick your weapon. Many people like to go for baseball bats or even golf clubs, but if you have too much anger for that there are also sledge-hammers available. Only one person is allowed in the room at each time, but you can pick 3 friends to share it with and tag in and out when you please. Fear not, you won’t miss out on any of the action because there are large windows to watch your buddies smash their stress away.
Not only is it a good way to get aggression and stress out, it’s also a cheaper option. Instead of going to a shrink and paying loads of money for them to ask you how you feel, Rage Rooms start at only $15. This is an activity you just shouldn’t pass up.
Chicago Rage Rooms also accept donations of items to be used in the smashing rooms. Too big to haul into them? No worries, they will come pick up your items free of charge.
