The Design Museum of Chicago strengthens design culture and builds community by facilitating the exchange of knowledge through dynamic experiences. Through exhibitions, public and private programs, digital media, and workshops the museum facilitates an open conversation about design across disciplines and borders.
In this mural, AfroKilla depicts a skull with three eyes and a man in hat with four eyes. He uses colorful, radial stripes as the background. This is outside of his normal style. Usually, he uses more colors and makes the background more active and mobile.
AfroKilla is a Chicago based artist. His style is influenced by skateboarding, pop culture, the psychedelic era, and urban culture. AfroKilla believes that art will forever tell stories and invites everyone to learn and grow together organically. He currently works out of his studio at The Pilsen Art and Design center.
