Wing Haven Garden & Bird Sanctuary

Escape into one of the Queen City's most serene hideaways at Wing Haven Garden & Bird Sanctuary. Nestled in Myers Park just three miles from the city center, Wing Haven feels worlds away from bustling downtown.

Wing Haven has three public gardens, each of which provides a lush habitat for birds and wildlife and an opportunity to learn more about rich Southern horticulture. The property includes The Elizabeth Lawrence House & Garden, a world-renowned garden writer's living laboratory. In 2019, Wing Haven opened SEED Wildlife & Children's Garden, an interactive learning and activity center that focuses on birds, biodiversity, and healthy ecosystems.

Wing Haven is open to the public for self-guided tours Wednesday - Saturday from 10am-5pm and private tours are also available with advanced notice. Admission is $10 for adults and children over the age of 10. Children under 10 years of age get free admission. Wing Haven offers more than 40 programs and special events each year, including bird walks, plant sales, children's camps, symposiums, and lecture series.
