Choose Chicago® is the official destination marketing organization for Chicago, Illinois. When you’re in Chicago, you’re home. With the countless experiences there are to have here, you're absolutely welcome to do any and all of them.
Sloane, Ferris, and Cameron check out an older version of this space in FBDO, but today, the skydeck features a small, entirely glass room that juts out from the building into the sky around the building. It’s here that you’ll get an incredible view of Chicago from the Willis Tower, or Sears Tower (as it was named when the movie was filmed).
Ferris makes note that the 1,451 foot tower was the tallest in the world. And indeed, the Sears was the tallest building in the world throughout the '80s and well into the '90s, until the Petronas Twin Towers were completed in 1998.
The Sky Deck is open April through September from 9am-10pm, and October through March from 10am-8pm. See the breathtaking view of of the city from the 103rd floor for only $22 for adults and $14 for children ages 3-11. Like Sloan, you'll realize how peaceful the city is at 1,353 feet, and you might even see Cameron's dad.
