“The Insider's Guide” Of Where To Go And What To Do In Chicago
Unlike most speakeasies, this one in River North is huge (18,000 square feet!) and even features separate cocktail rooms. The slightly hidden entranceway is next to CVS and upon opening the doors, you will be led downstairs to the basement where excitement awaits.
The club features 5 beautifully decorated rooms: the dining room, the whiskey library, the lounge, the parlor, and the back and side stage. The latter is where performances and live music are staged. They stick to the Prohibition theme with their music by playing vintage genres such as blues, jazz, and soul. Every Thursday, there is a burlesque show that brings crowds.
Of course, with all this entertainment, bartenders are serving classic drinks you would find in the 1920s. The Untitled Supper Club is known for their extensive American Whiskey list of over 500 options. They also have quite a lot of Gin cocktails if Whiskey isn't your poison. Be sure to order some food from their Michelin rated menu so you don't drink these strong drinks on an empty stomach.
The list of cocktails and drinks can be overwhelming, especially if you have no idea what anything is. A popular drink at this bar is the Pistol Smoke, which is made with Monkey Shoulder blended scotch, chamomile tea, vanilla, lemon, and tobacco. It will give your tongue a combination of sweet and smokey flavors.
