“The Insider's Guide” Of Where To Go And What To Do In Chicago
Brunch should not just be for Sunday mornings but finding a good, inexpensive place is hard to find in such a big city. Enter Toast. A quaint little place that will be your future favorite brunch location.
When the weather permits, their patio offers a quiet place in the middle of a noisy city to think, chat, and savor their Nutella and Pecan crepes or their Chorizo Eggs Benedict while sipping on a strawberry lemonade. Just reading about the mascarpone and pine nut pancakes or the ahi tuna with grilled fennel or the chicken mango chutney salad is enough to make your mouth water. As if you have to ask, the selection of toast at Toast is the talk of the town. They have classics like multi-grain and cinnamon raisin but also offer sourdough, challah, and the ever delicious brioche to choose from. Toast's menu also has non-breakfast options such as Burgers and sandwiches including their signature El Bucktowno.
There is one drawback; no alcohol so you won't be finding any Mimosas on the menu. Luckily, though, Toast is BYOB. Just bring your favorite champagne, order an OJ, get a spare glass and split the difference. And they also have V8 and Tabasco sauce if you prefer to make your own Bloody Mary.
