Hi! I'm Claire an avid traveler and Digital Nomad. At 34 I sold all my worldly possessions that wouldn’t fit into 3 boxes or in my backpack and hit the road.

Okay, so they may not have the best food in San Francisco. But The Stinking Rose is one of the most popular places to eat in North Beach, purely for the novelty factor, that everything on the menu is laced with lashings of garlic! In fact, their motto is "We Season Our Garlic With Food!®".

They boast that each month over 3,000 pounds of the pungent herb is served up to diners. You can choose the amount of garlic perfect for your particular pallet, from mild to 'hearty'. But it isn't just the food covered in garlic. The whole interior adorned with the stinky herb. From a mechanical garlic factory to the world's largest garlic braid, it really does need to be seen to be believed. At last count apparently a grand total of 2,635 bulbs of garlic are being used in the decor. I personally recommend the garlic roasted potato and onion soup followed by The Silence of the Lamb Shank.
