The same creative minds behind two other honky-tonks on this list, hit all the right notes when they opened The Second Fiddle. Owners Ruble and Brenda Sanderson are passionate about Nashville's Lower Broadway music scene. In addition to the Second Fiddle, they own The Stage and Legends Corner. All three of these long-standing haunts are popular honky-tonks among locals and tourists.
Walking through the doors of the Second Fiddle, you can see that you've moseyed on into a honky-tonk. The place is small but inviting; the live music is loud but enjoyable; the drinks are cheap and strong. And your friends? Well, they just so happen to be people you only met five minutes ago! The Second Fiddle has all these elements and awesome decor to boot. Country music memorabilia lines the walls everywhere you look. Handsome antique clocks from an era long gone and musical instruments left behind by some of the greats.
The musicians take center stage at the Second Fiddle literally and figuratively. It's all about the music here! There's some serious talent all around Nashville, and the best come to Broadway. The Second Fiddle's impressive performances range from country/western to the more contemporary. One thing's for certain, it's all country, and these people do it for the pure love of it.
Make sure to stop in for a drink and a swing around the dance floor during your stroll down Honky-Tonk Highway. The Second Fiddle is open seven days a week and there's no cover charge.
