Who doesn't love a classic breakfast shared amongst friends? Even better if that breakfast has a little bit of local flare and flavors. The Pantry has been an early morning eatery in Santa Fe since 1948, calling members of the community to its location with smells of the Southwest, drip coffee, and blue corn pancakes.
The Pantry has served as Santa Fe's local breakfast joint and community meeting place for many years while also serving up some Southwestern staples. Their menu is filled with yummy breakfast classics, but some stick out more than the rest. Take the Blue Corn Pancakes, for instance. Blue corn is a southwestern basic ingredient that give these cinnamon-filled pancakes an awesome blue tint. Lots of other sweet dishes fill the menu like french toast made on big Texas toast, pancakes stuffed with a mixed berry compote and whipped cream, and lots of waffles. Going the more savory route, The Pantry has a section of their menu dedicated to "New Mexican Breakfasts." Here you'll find two types of breakfast burritos (one classic and one with pinto beans and Chimayo red chile), huevos rancheros, and the "Buenos Dias," pantry fries topped with eggs and smothered in chile and cheese.
With a menu of sweet and savory dishes to fill any breakfast-goer up, The Pantry doesn't stop there. If you like hearty meats in your breakfasts, look no further. The Pantry offers up four dishes for all of the meat lovers out there: the Breakfast Steak 'n Eggs, Fresh Corned Beef, Chicken Fried Steak 'n Eggs, and the Ranchero Steak.
