If you love history, trains, and interesting all-in-one locations, you’re likely to be a big fan of the Crawford Hotel. The stunning boutique is located in the iconic Denver Union Station in the heart of the city. The landmark has been revitalized into a modern-day Denver transportation hub and portal to the city's many attractions. Union Station itself is splendid with its beautiful historical details: soaring windows, 65-foot ceilings, and dazzling chandeliers. The bustling shops, acclaimed restaurants, and cozy gathering spots throughout welcome visitors and locals alike. The station offers loads of diversions and happens to be locally known as Denver’s Living Room, and all that’s enticing about LoDo (Denver's Lower Downtown neighborhood) is right outside its doors.
Inside Denver Union Station, you’ll find amazing stories and unique pieces of Denver’s rich past. It’s been completely restored to reflect the history of the railway station and the city itself, with over 2,300 of Colorado's state flower—the columbine—carved into the plaster arches of the Great Hall, a display of the blueprint for the station itself, and many other unique and beautiful touches. Built in 2014, the hotel is named for longtime Denver resident, Dana Crawford, for being the driving force behind the Crawford Hotel. A member of the Union Station Alliance, Crawford worked to preserve Union Station and see it revitalized, bringing back its former glory from its early days in the late 1800s. The unique location, and its many things to do, set the Crawford boutique hotel apart.
The rooms at the Crawford rest above the busy train station, with elements of the past decorating the spaces. Exposed wood beams and brick add a certain charm. A daily amenity destination fee includes such things as access to the hotel's two E-bikes, Tesla transportation within a two-mile radius of the hotel, and a complimentary cup of drip coffee, a scoop of ice cream, and a glass of craft beer each day to make the stay even more comfortable.
The Crawford not only caters to your human family needs, but they welcome your four-legged friends with open arms for a nominal cleanup fee. The hotel has amenities just for them, including doggie beds and bowls, turn down treats, chew toys, and fun pet perks like the Furbo Dog Camera with treat feeder. Just let them know ahead of time that you’re bringing your furry friend.
