The Bluebird Cafe is a legendary venue for singer/songwriters to showcase their talent. On any given night, you might hear a set by an up-and-coming artist or be treated to a guest performance by a country music mega-star! Some of the biggest names in the industry have performed on The Bluebird’s intimate stage or in the center of the room for a small, appreciative audience.
There is an early show and late show every night of the week at The Bluebird. There is a very limited number of first come, first serve seats available for the Tuesday-Saturday shows, but reservations are highly recommended. Tickets are available for Monday’s Open Mic sessions at noon on the day of the show and no reservations are taken for Monday night performances of the house band.
The Bluebird is known to TV audiences for its frequent appearances in the ABC/CMT series Nashville. The show’s characters can often be seen performing on stage, hoping to be discovered and signed to a record label. They have good reason to be hopeful — Garth Brooks and Taylor Swift were discovered at The Bluebird after all.
If you’re a singer/songwriter from out of town, you can call the Bluebird on Monday morning and sign up to perform your original songs at Open Mic Night that evening. If you didn’t bring your instrument on vacation, don’t worry. The Bluebird has a full-size Kawai digital piano and a Taylor guitar available for use.
