Located in Pittsburgh's Strip District neighborhood, the BeerHive is the place to go for a calmer Steelers Sunday without the hassle of a big crowd. Specializing in import and craft beers, the BeerHive has over one-hundred different bottled beers that are also available to buy from their retail beer shop. Bomber bottles, growlers, and over 15 taps are also available. With a constantly rotating draft list and beer specials for all Pirate, Penguins, and Steelers games, the Beerhive is perfect for beer and sports lovers alike.
The rotating draft selection is always updated on the website and can also be seen behind the bar on a chalkboard. The selection covers a lot of ground, with crafts ranging from Weisse to coffee stout. Similar to the beer lists, the food menu consists of an American-style lineup that covers the sports bar standards like burgers, pulled pork sandwiches, and nachos. They also cook up vegetarian-minded dishes made with seitan in dippable bites, tacos or served on a pita with cucumber sauce.
Fourteen types of wings or chicken and waffles make a winning addition to a Sunday spent watching a Steeler game as well as their small plates like deep-fried pickles made with local company Pittsburgh Pickle Company products.
