Hi! I'm Claire an avid traveler and Digital Nomad. At 34 I sold all my worldly possessions that wouldn’t fit into 3 boxes or in my backpack and hit the road.
The Brooklyn Bridge took 14 years to be built! It was officially opened in 1883 to connect Manhattan and Brooklyn across the East River. It's one of the oldest roadway bridges in the US and it became a National Historic Landmark in 1964. Taking a walk across the Brooklyn Bridge is a must for anyone visiting New York City. It costs nothing to do, and it makes for a great photo opportunity.
To get here simply take the subway to Brooklyn Bridge station, exit and follow the crowds!
If you are looking for a great photo of the bridge with the New York City skyline in the background then you will need to follow the bridge to the end and go towards the right. As soon as you can take a right turn to walk back down towards the water to find this spot...
If you walk a little further down you will also find this great location.
