Swissotel Chicago is a luxury hotel designed by Harry Weese and Associates, containing 661 guest rooms, each with an exceptional view of the city. A Chicago Tribune obituary called Weese the architect who "shaped Chicago’s skyline and the way the city thought about everything from the lakefront to its treasure-trove of historical buildings." He is also well-known for designing the Washington DC Metro system.
The building offers various views of the Chicago River, Lake Michigan, and Grant Park.
Fun fact: the triangle point on the north end allows for more rooms with river views.
Weese's love for sailing also inspired the triangle design.
Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts started in Switzerland in 1980. Currently, Swissôtel has deluxe hotels in over 17 countries, each conveniently located near city centers, so guests have access to popular business and shopping districts.
