The Times Square Alliance is proud to continue to work to improve and promote Times Square, so that it retains the creativity, energy and edge that have made it an icon for entertainment, culture and urban life for over a century.

Known for acclaimed Chef Seki’s innovative approach to sushi, Sushi Seki is a relatively new installment of Restaurant Row that found its crowd almost instantaneously.

This might be in part because, like other members of Restaurant Row, it's got multiple specialties - a renown sushi chef, and an epic oyster bar.

According to Sushi Seki's website:

Chef Seki developed his knowledge of fish at the famed Tsukiji Market, one of the largest fish markets in the world. Chef Seki began working as a dishwasher and eventually advanced to become head kitchen chef and within a few years, a sushi chef.
In 1991, Chef Seki moved to New York City. Chef Seki explored his talent by working at various restaurants to enhance his experience including Sushi of Gari. Chef Seki has since become one of the masters in the art of fine sushi.

"Never stop learning."

He's everything you want in a sushi chef - he started at the bottom and worked his way up, he brought his recipes from Tokyo, and he's been so successful he's opened a second location in Chelsea.

But he's also not the only rarity on staff, no - Sushi Seki hosts its own sake sommelier, with a full sake suite to match.

In typical NYC fashion, they're open late - until 12am weeknights, 1am weekends.
