Become immersed in the American West as you celebrate the art, history, culture and unique stories of the 19 states that comprise it. Scottsdale’s Museum of the West’s bold, dramatic, authentic, experiential and participatory exhibitions and programs present Western art and culture through images, narrative, and multimedia. The museum is known by locals as the "Western Spirit".
Besides art installations, the Museum of the West also has a theater. The theater is located in the center of the museum and serves as a space of creative and cultural endeavors for the local community. You can enjoy many of the programs in the theater included in your admission.
Love of sculptures?! Well, the museum offers an entire courtyard dedicated to western sculptures. The space is often rented for private functions and events. You can walk around and gaze at sculptures done by renown western artists or sit on one of the benches and view from afar. There is also a "weeping wall" which collects rainwater from the roof and this water is taken to bioswales throughout the property providing water to its desert landscape.
