The San Francisco Art Exchange is an interesting museum due to the combination of different types of art pieces. From fine art to rock photography, this is one of my favorite places in San Francisco.
One of the first things that was heavily on display here were many pieces of pinup work by artist Alberto Vargas. After his pieces were displayed here, they began to sell for half a million dollars each, whereas before they sold for less than $100,000. Needless to say, the community took the Art Exchange seriously and appreciated the pieces that were on display. Soon after, the gallery also became well known for famous rock and roll art and photography.
