Roosevelt Row, an arts district in downtown Phoenix for art lovers to both enjoy the outdoors, extraordinary murals, award-winning galleries, delectable local restaurants, and more.
This creativity-filled district connects downtown to several residential neighborhoods where homes have been converted to cool hangouts of all types. Patios are common amongst the restaurants and bars, and little boutiques are plenty. The craft beer scene, art openings, and special events make Roosevelt Row a must-see.
Visitors at Roosevelt Row can appreciate the ample street art, some of Phoenix's best art galleries and museums as well as the Heard Museum of Native Cultures and Art. The Heard displays desert folk art with a variety of handmade items for purchase from the gift shop.
Roosevelt Row is also home to some of Phoenix's hip and trendy eateries which cater to the more artistic crowd. Options range from crepes at Jobot Coffee to elevated bar food at Bliss ReBAR to creative pita options at Pita Jungle. Short Leash Hot Dogs specializes in gourmet hot dogs which come wrapped in naan bread and are topped with an assortment of unique, fresh ingredients.
Voted as “The Top 10 Arts Districts in the US" by USA Today, every First Friday from 6 to 11 pm, Roosevelt Row hosts a self-guided art tour with showcase exhibition openings in dozens of galleries in the district. You can take free event shuttles from all over downtown to attend this event.
