“The Insider's Guide” Of Where To Go And What To Do In Chicago
Founded by Josh Deth in 2010, his inspiration and knowledge for Revolution stemmed from working at Golden Prairie Brewing and Goose Island. After years of cleaning kegs, scrubbing tanks, and opening businesses, Revolution was born. In 2017, it became the 40th largest craft brewery and 50th largest overall in the country.
Revolution brews dozens of different beers each year including IPAs, porters, pilsners, Belgian-style ales, pale ales, barrel-aged beers, and so many more. You can sit down in their tap room and enjoy these on draft, bottle/can, or you can get the full experience with a tour. The tours are free but based on a first come first serve basis Wednesday through Sunda). They even offer private tours if you have a large group itching to look behind the scenes of the popular brewery.
If tours aren’t for you, visiting the tap room is just as satisfying. Open 7 days a week, you can try as many beers as you want and there is certainly many to choose from. If you still just can’t get enough of Revolution, they even do private events where you can book their venue for weddings, birthdays, or other parties! The brewery is accessible by the Blue Line Belmont stop.
Besides filling yourself up with beer, Revolution also has a food menu. Have some appetizers, Pizza, sandwiches, or even a house-cut steak with your drink. They also do brunch on the weekends and won't judge you for having a beer in the morning.
