From the extensive line of TVs behind the bar to the mural of Pittsburgh sports memorabilia, Redbeard's Bar & Grill provides sports fans with a comfortable place to cheer on their favorite team. With two locations, one centrally located in Downtown Pittsburgh and the other on Mt. Washington, Redbeard's is frequented by black and gold rearing fans. Self-proclaiming themselves as "The Champions in Downtown Happy Hours," Redbeard's specials each weekday include discounts on starters, domestic drafts, and well drinks.
The menu is served until 1 AM nightly and consists of your typical bar-style food with a twist. One of Pittsburgh's favorite eats, the pierogi, is hand made in the Burgh, stuffed with the traditional potatoes and cheese, and topped with onions. Redbeard's offers a soup of the day menu as well as specialty entrees including Nashville Hot Chicken. This specialty is an 8oz boneless breast, doused in a blend of their secret blend of spices served atop of local Rustic Italian Bread. And of course, no Pittsburgh sports bar is complete without a wide variety of wing options. Redbeard's definitely delivers with several options such as the Rookie (6), Veteran (12), and Hall of Famer (21). Unique flavor combinations include their signature seasoning with a "little bit of season, a little bit of salt, and a whole lot of taste," fruity peppers, honey-lime sriracha, and firecracker.
Their weekly lineup menu with daily specials caters to sports fans with their Big League drafts, and Wing Wednesday's. On Sunday Funday, specials include breakfast on the patio, perfect for pre-game, and bottomless mimosas. For the mini-sports lovers, kids 12 and under eat free on Saturday's and Sunday's.
