Red Bear Brewing opened in March 2019 in the NoMa area and quickly grew in popularity. The brewery is the brainchild of three Seattle natives who wanted to bring the delicious hops of the Pacific Northwest to the East Coast. Red Bear is an independent craft brewery that values diversity in their team, neighborly conduct and community building, and building positive relationships with their patrons.

Red Bear Brewing has a rotating menu of approximately 15 craft beers served in 5 oz, 10 oz, or 16 oz pours. Inventive and playful flavors here can’t be found anywhere else. An imperial coffee stout called Head Blonde In Charge is a collaboration with Hellbender Brewing Company and La Colombe Coffee that is a mystical mix of java, chocolate, malt, flaked oats, and lactose that begs to be ordered. The Dom Peri-yaaaaas is an experimental kölsch that plays up white wine notes using Hallertau Blanc hops and chardonnay grapes for a brut-y flavor like no other. Every beer here is worth a go, and a variety of ciders, mead, and cocktails are also available for non-beer drinkers.
Prior to opening their kitchen in fall 2019, Red Bear partnered with local food trucks and pop-ups to provide patrons with yummy eats and allowed visitors to bring in their own food on nights when a pop-up wasn’t scheduled. The new kitchen infuses many of their offerings with their beers. They also serve Red Bear pickles as garnishes.
Red Bear has more board games than most other breweries, making it a great place for friends and families to gather. Trivia, poker nights, and fun-runs also fill the calendar. Red Bear Brewing is Monday through Thursday 3 pm–11 pm, Friday 1 pm–2 am, Saturday 11 am–2 am, and Sunday 11 am–11 pm.
