Choose Chicago® is the official destination marketing organization for Chicago, Illinois. When you’re in Chicago, you’re home. With the countless experiences there are to have here, you're absolutely welcome to do any and all of them.

Named in honor of a prominent Chicago theologian, Preston Bradley Hall is spectacularly adorned with a 38-foot Tiffany stained dome and white Carrara marble walls, inlaid with sparkling mosaics of colored stone, mother of pearl and small pieces of glass.

Many of the patterns in the ornate room are influenced by nature including scales of fish, found in the dome and hanging Tiffany lamps, and the symbols of the Zodiac at the top of the dome. The main room is set off from the east and west wings by large graceful arches which bear the names of great writers. Inscriptions in ten languages extol the wisdom found in books.

Preston Bradley Hall is the setting for a variety of programs presented by the Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events. The Dame Myra Hess Memorial Concerts, held year round every Wednesday, features solo and ensemble performances of classical music that showcase emerging performers.
