“The Insider's Guide” Of Where To Go And What To Do In Chicago

Peerless Rug Company is a third generation business that was founded in the Lakeview community in 1938 by Polish immigrants.

When Milton Liss immigrated to Chicago in 1920, she had a vision to open up a rug store. She decided to do so on Lincoln Avenue because back then, the area was the second largest shopping area. The family-owned business now has divisions, which are head by Hal Nagel.

The environment is important to the rug company and they have a LEED certificate to prove so. They supply natural, renewable, and sustainable floor coverings to private companies, personal homes, and for business projects. They work with weavers in India, China, Turkey, and more, to create some amazing rugs that can’t be duplicated.

While in town, stop over and check out their amazing show room! It features a unique mix of carpets, rugs and tile.
