Digital Storytelling and Visitor Analytics for City and Cultural Institutions
Patrizi's is serving up some of the best Italian food in the city. The truck is tucked in the back of the garden area of Butterfly Bar and the experimental theater Vortex. Named in homage of a family restaurant that opened in 1940s Beaumont Texas, Matt and Nic Patrizi are carrying on the family legacy in fine fashion. Patrizi's offers up a mix of American Italian food as well as more traditional old-world Italian recipes.
Everything at Patrizi's is home made, and the pasta is considered by many to be the best in the city. With a menu that includes sharing, you can grab a bottle of wine at Butterfly Bar and enjoy a full family style Italian meal. The spaghetti and giant meatball with red sauce is so good it will make you wish you had an Italian grandmother. Another favorite of locals is the bruschetta assortment, which features toasted ciabatta along with fresh seasonal toppings. The garden plays a large roll in the food here, and the pickles and herb infused oils are all made in house with produce from the garden. So if you are in the mood for great Italian food in one of the coolest outdoor areas in Austin, Patrizi's is the obvious choice.
