We believe the best way to experience Grand Rapids is by moving at street level, accompanied by a savvy guide who can share history, trivia and fun facts about the people and places you encounter along the way. What an incredible combination of exercise, entertainment, and education. We love fitness. We love touring. We love Grand Rapids. And we’d love to share our enthusiasm with you!

Grand Rapids Running Tours has evolved from running - to walking, step-on bus tours and virtual tours. The common theme? A love for everything Grand Rapids…its history, culture, entertainment, vibe, tastes and exciting growth. All of this goodness needs to be shared; and that’s what founder and Chief Tour Ambassador, Caroline Cook envisioned in 2014. She’s a running enthusiast, a natural cheerleader, a history nut, and an idea person. As a downtown dweller, she blended her two favorite pastimes, exercise and education…and now narrates the fascinating tales of Grand Rapids lore to visitors, locals, conventioneers, clubs and organizations. With a menu of over 30 unique, thematically organized tours, Caroline has become a local “go to” for healthy, “burn while you learn” events for all ages and abilities. As a speaker, she shares the same enthusiasm in presentation form, adding the technology magic to the narrative for an exciting combination of verbal/visual. Caroline is an alumnus of Michigan State University; her career trajectory followed a marketing path, until she and her husband moved downtown nine years ago. She feels blessed to be an entrepreneur-later-in-life, budding historian and ambassador of Grand Rapids. To learn more, go to www.grandrapidsrunningtours.com
