Okeeheelee Park

Managed by the Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department, the Okeeheelee Park was finished in 1996. The park currently has two lakes with access to boating, fishing and water skiing. It is a fun place to explore, especially on a sunny day because you can just relax on the ground, set up a picnic with family and friends and get relaxed by the sound of nature. And if you are patient enough, you will be able to watch a beautiful sunset with a water view.

However, if you are in the mood for an adventure, you can always access to many types of sports: golf, baseball, tennis, and biking. And if you want more, there is a trail that will take you around the park. But don't worry, you won't get lost- there are signs that will indicate you where to go. Just make sure to bring comfortable clothes, including shoes and a bottle of water. You might get thirsty after a long walk or even run. Whatever pace you choose, you will definitely feel connected with nature.

Check out this video to learn more about the Okeeheelee Park:

There is a nature center- a small museum of natural Florida that you can explore Wednesdays through Sundays from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm. You will be able to see turtles, snakes, and alligators. Also, there is a Butterfly Garden with live animal exhibits and interactive programs for both kids and adults. And if you are thinking about what to do with your pets, you can always bring them to a dog-friendly place called Pooch Pines.
