Beachfront neighborhoods in San Diego are always fun because of all the water activities that are available. And Ocean Beach is not the exception. In fact, it is an area with great attractions to see. From the Historic District’s architecture to the beautiful streets surrounded by palm trees, visitors and locals cherish a laid-back beach atmosphere. When visiting this area, make sure to go to the pier and walk all the way to the end- it might take a long time because it is the longest one on the West Coast but it is worth it!
Within walking distance from the pier, there is a great place to gather with friends for drinks and food: South Beach Bar & Grille. Whether you choose to seat on the bar or a table, the waterfront view will leave you breathless. With an extensive menu that ranges from burgers to salads, sandwiches, seafood, and tacos, this place has attracted locals and visitors since 1992. From the upstairs floor or the downstairs one, you will be able to see when the sun goes down. You will witness how the waiters and waitresses give a small speech while everybody cheers and clinks their glasses. It is an amazing tradition that makes the customers feel very special.
Also, make sure to check out the Northside of Ocean Beach where you will find mom-and-pop stores, coffee shops, bars, and restaurants. Learn more about the neighborhood in this video:
