Neighboring Hotspots

Real estate website Redfin recently named Ukrainian Village 2016's hottest neighborhood in the nation.

"While surrounded by better-known neighbors, Ukrainian Village is becoming a destination in its own right," said Steve Meyer, a Redfin real estate agent located in Chicago. "It has significant architecture, including some beautiful Ukrainian Orthodox churches. The main strip, Chicago Avenue, is also developing commercially - it's becoming popular for its nightlife and restaurant scene, and that wasn't the case five years ago."

Wicker Park brims with trendy cafés, thriving retail, and colorful street scenes. While Ukrainian Village is competing with its well-renowned neighbors, it is generally more affordable and not as densely populated, which gives it a leg up.
