Originally founded in 1987 as the tourism arm of the Scottsdale Area Chamber of Commerce, Experience Scottsdale became a standalone organization in 2001. The organization has more than 40 full- and part-time employees, along with a volunteer board of directors composed of local hospitality and tourism industry leaders.
Located at Verde River Golf and Social Club near the Mazatzal Wilderness, Needle Rock Kitchen and Tap is the ideal place to relax with a cold beer after a day of whatever makes your heart sing. From golf to spas to kayaks, this desert jewel of a resort has it all. Seriously, check out this video from their YouTube channel. Don't you want to ride horseback through the desert and then come back for a massage?
Needle Rock Kitchen and Tap Might be the best part though. Named an OpenTable Diner's Choice Restaurant for 2019, anyone from the most discerning gourmand to the pickiest eater can find something to love at this stylish dining destination. Have a kid who hates trying new things? They can order a Margherita pizza or a Millionaire Burger while you feast on the arugula salad with local goat cheese and the steak and grits with wild mushrooms.
Needle Rock Kitchen and Tap also stands out because of its chef, Paul Steele. Steele has been cooking since he was a teenager, worked at The Herb Farm in Woodinville, Washington when it was considered one of the best restaurants in the country, and competed on Iron Chef America once with his mentor Mark Tarbell. Supporting other local businesses and reaching out to the community through his food is an important part of Steele's culinary philosophy, and he's excited to create special experiences for Needle Rock's patrons.
