Stand up and cheer, the Minnesota Vikings are here!...
Football is a sport that brings people together for a time of relaxation and friendly rivalry! The players take their places out on the field, and the first kick is made. You hold our breath in between plays. You raise your beers in salute at a goal being scored. And you cheer when your team narrowly defeats their opponents. Are YOU ready for some football? Are you ready to learn more about the Minnesota Vikings Museum?
Minnesota has created an entire museum dedicated to its beloved football team, the Minnesota Vikings. Located in the Twin Cities Orthopedics Performance Center, the Minnesota Vikings Museum is a place to discover the history of the Minnesota Vikings and the game of football itself. You'll experience the game like never before!
For over half a century, the Minnesota Vikings have made Minnesotans proud and have built an enduring legacy for fans to cherish. The museum is a showcase of that legacy with exhibits that are informative and fun! There's an entire exhibit dedicated to the legendary Bud Grant, who was the Vikings head coach from 1967 to 1983. You'll learn how franchises get their start by viewing the display that houses the team's founding documents. You'll be captivated by the "Frozen in Time" exhibit, complete with players' jerseys whose numbers have been retired and defensive tackle Alan Page's MVP trophy from 1971! Be sure to score a visitor's touchdown by viewing the Game Ball Wall exhibit. Game balls were awarded to players for outstanding performances during various games. This exhibit features over 50 footballs, each presented for a specific honor.
The Minnesota Vikings Museum is open Monday through Saturday from 10 AM to 6 PM and Sunday from 12 PM to 5 PM. General admission tickets are $15 for adults; $12 for seniors; and $12 for active members of the military. Tickets for children between the ages of 6 and 12 are $10, and children 5 years and under are admitted for free. If you're a football fan, put this museum on your list! (prices subject to change)
