Located between Downtown and Buckhead, Midtown is a high-density commercial and residential neighborhood that became the second-largest business district in Metro Atlanta. It has the highest density of art and cultural institutions in the Southeast, including the Fox Theater, the High Museum of Art, the Center of Puppetry Arts and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. Since 1990, its development has been notorious with mass transit options and urban street grid.
Midtown is home to Piedmont Park, a great space to relax, walk around, and even do yoga. If you like bikes and skates, you can definitely rent them and have a great time with family and friends. Also, there is a soccer field, a tennis court, and a volleyball court that are available to everyone that wants to have a great time. And if at some point during your visit you get hungry, you are more than welcome to have your own picnic. There is an area with picnic tables and also benches.

Looking for more things to do? The Atlanta Botanical Garden is a favorite for many locals because it is somehow a getaway in the middle of the city, an escape of lush landscape in the middle of the city. There are different areas but if you have kids, then they will love the Children's Garden, where there are a playground and a water painting area. However, if you are looking for other stuff to do in Midtown and you love shopping, then definitely you have to visit Ponce City Market, a mall with a wide variety of stores where you can get clothing, accessories and of course food!
