The McKinley National Memorial is the final resting place of President William McKinley, First Lady Ida Saxton, and their two young daughters. Construction of the Memorial began in 1905, and it was dedicated in September 1907. Although First Lady Ida McKinley had taken a great interested in its construction, she died in May of 1907 and did not live to see its completion. The Memorial is privately owned and operated by the Stark County Historical Society. It is open from April 1 to November 1 during Museum hours.
