Digital Storytelling and Visitor Analytics for City and Cultural Institutions

If you've found the triumphant statue of Maggie L. Walker, an African-American businesswoman and banker who lived from 1864-1934, you're just steps away from Max's restaurant.

Located in the arts district of downtown Richmond and run by chef Alex Enggist, Max's serves not only Belgian but also French cuisine.

You can dine on their outdoor patio in summer, or look out from their second floor dining room when the weather turns cold.

They're most renown for their Cassoulet, duck dishes, not to mention their brunches.

Max's is always an excellent choice not only for its food but also its location - steps away from the convention center, the Institute of the Arts, the National, and the Opera theaters.

It is also near other restaurants on this list - among them, the Lemaire hiding inside the grand Jefferson Hotel.
