Margot Cafe & Bar

Margot Cafe & Bar has been serving French-inspired cuisine with a southern accent for nearly 20 years. Located in Five Points, Margot Cafe is a trendsetter that helped elevate the East Nashville culinary scene before the area developed into the cultural hotspot it is today. Margot Cafe is a gathering space for foodies and wine connoisseurs. Brick walls adorned by copper pots, quaint dishware, and long farm-style tables make the place feel cozy and provincial. There is a fairly large lot and covered brick patio as well as a pet-friendly open dining area, garden, marble bar, and two floors of seating. Safe to say, there's a place for you at Margot's.

About Chef Margot

Chef Margot McCormack opened Margot Cafe in 2001. Before this, she worked for several years in elite restaurants in New York and Nashville, working towards her dream of a space that she could meld Southern culinary traditions with classic French and Italian cooking methods. At Margot Cafe, her unique blend of techniques makes complex-sounding foods refreshingly approachable. Her cooking is seasonally-based and ingredient-driven. Since opening, she's gained a loyal following and the place is almost always full for dinner service. This hasn't gone unnoticed. The restaurant has received several "Best of Nashville" awards and been featured in Southern Living, National Geographic Travel Magazine and The New York Times.

Made Fresh Daily

Margot Cafe’s menu changes daily based on what is in season and inspiring to the chef. Past favorites have included the duck confit and the chickpea Panisse with zucchini, summer squash, and ricotta. Every item on the menu is prepared with meticulous care, and few negative reviews exist beyond the recommendation to arrive early before major menu items sell out! Save room for dessert to enjoy luscious treats such as triple chocolate cake and tres leches ice cream with pizzelle. Many dessert wines and cordials also make for a great cap to the evening.

Margot Cafe encourages guests to make reservations in advance. Street parking is free in front of the restaurant and there are three nearby paid lots as well.
