Marché de Macarons, previously called Maison de Macarons, is a local Savannah bakery serving French macarons with a Southern twist. Owners Laura Hale and Amy Shippy believe in using only the most natural and freshest ingredients possible in their macarons.
A French macaron is a meringue-based cookie containing egg whites, sugar, and almond flour. Pistachios, hazelnuts, food coloring, and extracts may be added to the macaron shells depending on the flavor of the macaron. Macaron centers typically contain fruit, sugar, butter, chocolate, and nuts.
This bakery keeps a classic “daily flavor” menu and rotates a “seasonal menu.” There is always something new to pique your interest! Try flavors like Lemon, Chocolate Ganache, or Pistachio for the classic French macaron taste or Tybee Turtle, Bourbon Pecan, and Savannah Banana for a more Southern approach.
Marché de Macarons ships nationwide in customized boxes. To order a box for yourself or purchase some for an event, click the link below.
