Located in Downtown Columbus, The Main Street Bridge is a 700 ft, three-span, inclined tied arch bridge over the Scioto River. The bridge is the first in North America and the fifth in the world to use an inclined single-rib-tied arch superstructure. This structure makes the Main Street Bridge a very photographic bridge for photographers to shoot and the perfect backdrop for your photos.
The bridge was a replacement for the former Art Deco Main Street Bridge, built-in 1937, which was deemed unsafe. Construction took four years and cost over $50 million to complete.
Often the Main Street Bridge is the backdrop to engagement, wedding, and couples sessions for those visiting the city and locals. While the bridge does see a lot of foot traffic throughout the day, the bridge is large enough for you to find a spot for you to snag a photo or admire the view.
