Get close to country music's celebrated history when you come to Legends Corner. Recently voted "#1 Country Bar in Nashville", this place has solidified its place in Music City history. With the Highway's largest collection of memorabilia, you'll get a first-hand look at some of country music's prized heirlooms.
One of the spotlight items here is an autographed guitar that once belonged to the "Man in Black" himself, Johnny Cash! They've also got instruments from around the world, like a digeridoo from Australia. The interior design is a conversation starter, but it's the music that'll really get you talking—or singing!
You walk into Legends and country music history is all around you. The walls are plastered with album covers, and musical instruments don the spaces above them. Characteristic of all honky-tonks on the Highway is the smallish venue. Legends Corner is no different. The bar area is small. The performance stage is small, but the sounds of live music are gigantic!
Another characteristic of a honky-tonk is the drink menu. You won't find fine wine and artisanal cheeses here. There are bottles of ice-cold beers to quench your thirst, and a selection of liquor to have your favorite drinks mixed up.
Legends Corner owner Ruble Sanderson had a vision when he opened Legends Corner in the late 1990s. He wanted to make Lower Broadway shine again after years of being dulled by blight and neglect. The Honky Tonk Highway got another mile marker. Now it's a must-visit thanks to places like Legends. Check out Keith Urban's performance of "Where the Blacktop Ends" at Legends in the video below.
Live music flows freely every night at this honky-tonk. Keep your ears open because you could hear one of country music's future superstars belting out the nation's next rockin' anthem.
