This barn is a late 19th century gable roofed barn combined with an early 20th century gambrel-roof dairy barn addition. This combination was a popular construction technique during the early 20th century, when farming practices moved from raising crops and animals for market to dairy farming.
This barn features a raised field stone foundation accompanied by an earthen ramp, an attached silo, and lightning rods.
