This park is one of the newest public spaces in the city and few know about it. Just a block north of Millennium Park, this park is for the new community in the high rises surrounding it. With building names like Harbor Point, Aqua and The Tides and mixed use development was inspired by Lake Michigan to the East and the Chicago river to the north.

When looking from above, the walking paths in the park create a series of sails. A nod to the great lake a block away.

When you are here, seek out higher ground on the Plaza’s above to see if you can find the sails. My favorite is from the plaza at Aqua.
