The La Tierra trails are a multi-use trail network in the northwest area of Santa Fe. All of the trails total to about 25 miles of beautiful desert hiking. These multi-use trails allow for biking, hiking, dogs (on leash) and even horses and motorize vehicles in some parts. These trails are considered moderate level and are great if you're looking for a workout that is not too advanced. Along the way, you will see beautiful wildflowers, cacti, and city views on every direction.
If you're also looking for a place to mountain bike, the La Tierra trail is a go-to spot. These trails are sweetly groomed and include plenty of technical sections as well as rollers and jumps. Love to Freeride? Make your way to the 'Trashpit' which is a series of Freeride type technical riding and jumps. The trail even hosts the La Tierra Torture bike race.
