The Design Museum of Chicago strengthens design culture and builds community by facilitating the exchange of knowledge through dynamic experiences. Through exhibitions, public and private programs, digital media, and workshops the museum facilitates an open conversation about design across disciplines and borders.

Keep Moving: Shifting Gears is a celebration of bikes and design. In conjunction with Keep Moving: Designing Chicago’s Bicycle Culture on view at Expo 72 (72 E. Randolph), stories of innovation, freedom, class, gender, manufacturing, and history will encourage visitors to think about how design can make the world a better place.

The show features design from World Bicycle Relief, ARTCRANK, Envision Unlimited, and individual designers and collectors.

The museum shop at Keep Moving: Shifting Gears will feature Chain Reaction, a family of prints by international artists celebrating the culture and history of bicycles. Curated by Colossal in partnership with the museum, all print editions will be available for purchase, with 10% of each sale benefiting Blackstone Bicycle Works.

The exhibition is open until February 2019.
