All are invited to enjoy the natural beauty of James Island County Park, with year-round fun for the entire family. Admission to the park allows you to enjoy grassy open meadows, saltwater fishing (saltwater fishing license is required) and crabbing, and a spray play fountain (which is open seasonally). At the James Island County Park, there are miles of paved trails for walking, biking, and skating. There are also picnic spots with tables and grills, a dog park, a sand volleyball court, horseshoe pits, and more. The video below showcases a picture slide show of the picturesque scenes found around the park.
There are plenty of extra amenities available for additional fees. You can camp at The Campground, which has 124 sites and 10 vacation cottages along the Stono River marsh. You can also spend time perfecting your climb at South Carolina’s tallest outdoor climbing facility, The Climbing Wall. The family will love the Splash Zone Waterpark - a fantastic seasonal waterpark. James Island County Park also offers team building and adventure learning programs at The Challenge Course. Still looking for more? Try out their 18-hole disc golf course or pedal around on one of their bicycle, pedal boat, and kayak rentals. They also offer covered shelters and meeting and reception facility rentals for all of your get-togethers.
