“The Insider's Guide” Of Where To Go And What To Do In Chicago

This amazing and entertaining dog park deserves its Yelp 4.5 star rating. Jackson Bark could be what your dog has been looking for. This neighborhood dog park in Woodlawn is a pun of the surrounding Jackson Park .

Jackson Bark used to be four Tennis courts until converted into a dog park in 2014, where 90% of it was made with recycled materials. The area is now the largest 100% enclosed dog park in Chicago and it is 100% free. The community maintains and funds it to keep it that way. Your dog will have a ton of fun interacting with other neighborhood dogs and the park also welcomes children to enjoy the space as well. There are plastic seats for the owners to sit down and watch over their pets. Jackson Bark park provides a nice workout and training course that include creative, recycled toys. Water fountains are supplied in the park, along with a nice cool bath area for the dogs to clean up and they have plenty of dog-friendly/safety features.

They are open from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM every day of the week and those hours don't get affected by Chicago's weather. It won't close early or stop your dogs from having a little fun.
