Hi! I'm Claire an avid traveler and Digital Nomad. At 34 I sold all my worldly possessions that wouldn’t fit into 3 boxes or in my backpack and hit the road.
Okay, I'll admit it. I'm a bit obsessed with this place. It is one of my favorite places to drink in New York City, and it is somewhere I always bring visiting friends, and they all love it!
McSorley's is the oldest pub in Manhattan and despite its age is still retains all of its charm. Although done expect service with a smile here, part of the charm is the slightly grumpy bartenders and staff, the lack of variety on the menu, or and did I mention the sawdust on the floor?!
This pub will give you an authentic glimpse into life as an Irish immigrant worker in NYC during the 1800’s. For more about the history of McSorley's watch the short video below.
