All aboard… the Intrepid! This fun, interactive and experimental museum represents the perfect place for kids: a combination of excitement and education. The Exploreum, a fully interactive exhibit space designed especially for families and kids of all ages, is one of the most visited areas of the museum: it encourages visitors to climb in an actual Bell 47 helicopter, navigate through an interactive submarine and steer the wings of an airplane. On top of a wide range of lectures and classes, the Intrepid also organizes the – very popular – “Operation Slumber”: an overnight inside the museum, with squashy sleeping bags and dusk-till-dawn adventures.
