Fun fact about our theater we are proud of our global initiative and arts report. Since we launched our Broadway Beyond Borders our production and arts outreach program has traveled to over 8 countries and US territory. These countries include Paris, Totonto, Cape Town, London, Nassau Bahamas, and Cuba. While overseas we develop arts curriculum with academic leaders by engaging in cultural exchanges.
Many of our performing artists work with students to develop bodies of work to tell their stories on stage, Our Broadway in Bronzeville ensemble has performed live on stage to sold out house around the world exposing local arts people to our stories such as King of The Policy.
As the global director of the Harold Washington Cultural Center Jimalita Tillman has been certified and trained in Risk Management and Emergency Preparedness through the Arts Ready Program and Americans for the Arts With this training, Director Tillman provide global arts institutions with risk awareness and emergency preparedness workshops.
