Harmony Hall located on the West Side of Grand Rapids and sister brewery, Harmony in Eastown were founded by three siblings- Barry, Heather, and Jackson VanDyke, who decided to start their dream project during the recession. After scraping together enough cash to buy and gut an old liquor store in Eastown, the siblings bought a stainless steel five-barrel dairy tank from a farm in Wisconsin and started their home brewing. At first the brewery was just a small project for the three siblings, but it quickly took off and became a staple in the Eastown neighborhood of Grand Rapids.
In 2015 the VanDyke siblings expanded from the old liquor store and opened Harmony Hall. With an expanded ten-barrel system and five large fermentation tanks the brewery took off with thirty beers on tap. Harmony Hall was originally built as a sausage factory and most recently served as a local Mexican restaurant. The decorations in the brewery pay homage to the buildings history with Mexican relief murals and the old factory's preserved architecture.
If you'd like to check out the brewery, it is located in Eastown at 1551 Lake Dr. S.E.
