Located just 15 minutes from downtown, Vancouver's Grouse Mountain is the perfect destination for a memorable experience. A variety of cultural, educational, and outdoor adventures are at one's disposal on the mountain. During the Green Season, which is usually May through October, guests can experience the breathtaking skyline from a scenic round trip Skyride, have access to the Peak Chairlift, watch World-Famous Lumberjack Shows, and visit the Grizzly bear habitat.
The Mountain Ropes Adventure, for kids 8 and up, is a series of four aerial ropes courses with varying degrees of difficulty. For the younger adventurer, the Kids Tree Canopy Adventure consists of three double treehouses, one single treehouse, several slides, and games with an adjacent parents supervision area. There are two special inhabitants on the Mountain that guests can interact with. Resident Grizzly Bears Coola and Grinder call the Grouse Mountain Refuge for Endangered Wildlife home. In the spring of 2001, the bears were found orphaned in the wild. Today, the Mountain offers Breakfast with the Bears which runs throughout the summer.
Guests can watch Grinder and Coola explore their habitat from the comfort of the Grizzly Lookout Cafe. Wildlife rangers teach all about Grizzly Bears and bear conservation during this delicious bear-inspired breakfast. In winter months, Grouse Mountain offers a variety of terrain for both skiers and riders, lessons for all ages and levels, and the latest ski and snowboard gear for rent in the board shop. Grouse Mountain also offers Day Lessons which provide a safe and fun environment for learning in a group.
