Vancouver’s first natural wine bar, Grapes & Soda, offers a unique dining experience where an ever-changing and carefully cultivated list of natural, organic, and biodynamic wines take pride with seasonally inspired small plates. An intimate, 30-seat room located in Vancouver’s chic South Granville neighborhood, next door to its acclaimed sister restaurant Farmer’s Apprentice, Grapes & Soda shares the same spirit the fresh, local, farm-to-table philosophy for which Farmer’s Apprentice has become known.
Naturally, an extensive wine selection is available from around the world. From all-organic rose, whites, reds, bubbles, and dessert wines, guests can choose from three-ounce pours for wines by the glass as well as half bottle service available upon request. Specialty cocktails are constantly being invented, such as the Figaro which is made with fig, peaty scotch, bourbon, sherry, vermouth, and bergamot. They have rotating craft beers on tap as well as a variety of aged scotch and small-batch bourbons.
Grapes & Soda isn't just natural wines and small plates. They also feature artisanal cocktails, a selection of small-farm cheeses, local charcuterie, and dessert. The menus rotate constantly as they pride themselves on placing a premium on the availability and seasonality of all ingredients. In order to allow guests to get the full experience and focus on flavor, they include cell phone drawers under each table. So, sit down, store your phone, and take in the local flavors at Grapes & Soda. Regular hours are five days a week (Tuesday-Saturday), from 5 pm – 11 pm Happy-hour specials available between 5 pm and 6:30 pm daily.
