“The Insider's Guide” Of Where To Go And What To Do In Chicago
This new Ice Cream spot turns a classic child's treat into a new novelty. Gordo's Homemade Ice Cream Bars started earlier this year and is open year round, 7 days a week.
When choosing your ice cream, it's completely customizable. First, choose your ice cream flavor, then what chocolate you want it dipped in, and lastly, one or two toppings. They also have a menu filled with their own creations if you can't make up your mind. If you sign up for their email newsletter, you will receive a free bar! You also can get free ice cream on your birthday!
The shop doubles as a place to grab coffee and drinks if you aren't in the ice cream mood or want a little something extra. They also have other treats and non-dairy options. Want these bars at your next event/party? They have catering options. You can buy premade bars of your choice, or rent out their cart for a build your own ice cream bar activity.
They have two locations: One in Edgewater, off the Granville Red Line stop, and the other in Printer's Row off of the Harrison Red Line stop.
